Film Chain

The film chain consisted of a 35-mm Simplex projector with 3:2 pull-down; RCA TK-28 three-tube film camera; 16-mm Eastman Kodak Model 285 projector with 3:2 pull-down; RCA multiplexer and slide projector.

 
This the TK-28's optical block. This unit had been modified to improve the back lighting. The large round item covers the netural density filter used to set levels. TK-28 Optical Block

Selsyn Close up of the selsyn (self-synchronizing motor) used to interlock the film projector and the magnetic sound machine.

 
The unit in the left rack is the magnetic sound playback machine. In the center rack is the Fernseh scene-by-scene color corrector. And in the right rack is the TK-28 camera control and supporting equipment. Equipment racks

In the left console is the Fernseh control panel, the center console has the TK-28 controls, and in the right console are controls for a Norelco PC-70 studio camera.

 
The Fernseh scene-by-scene color corrector stored the corrections on a punched paper tape.

While there is some debate on this point, I believe the Fernseh was the first scene-by-scene color corrector.
